APS Superintendent Rico MunRico Munn joined Aurora Public Schools as superintendent on July 1, 2013. He brings a wide range of experiences to APS, having experience in law and educational policy in Colorado.

Munn’s main priority is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. He has encouraged staff members to think about their jobs and how each one relates to the goal of student achievement. To cement that idea, Munn has asked all staff members and the APS Board of Education to create a three-sentence Unified Job Description.

"My job is to accelerate learning for every APS student, every day. I do my job by advocating relentlessly for and supporting the people, practices and policies that drive student success. My community needs me to do my job.”

- Superintendent Rico Munn

Colorado Gives Day
Colorado Gives Day
Tuesday December 6

The APS Foundation is excited to announce that Colorado Gives Day is set for Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022!

For 24 hours, Colorado comes together to raise funds for local nonprofits, and we’re excited to be a part of the day! On Colorado Gives Day, we’ll be celebrating and fundraising for APS students. We invite you to join us by helping to share the news and invite your family, friends and your personal network to participate in this giving holiday. Every gift is tax-deductible and helps us reach our goal of $20,000 to support more APS students. We are working to make possibility a reality for every student; this day of giving is one way you can be a part of the work!

You can schedule your Colorado Gives Day gift here today!

We are excited to partner with Academy Roofing, who is matching all donations, dollar per dollar, up to $10,000! We look forward to having you join us for this special campaign. Together, we can create more opportunities for APS students!
